Explorer Scouts are aged between fourteen and eighteen years of age.

They are the fourth member of the Scouting family but unlike Beavers, Cubs and Scouts they are District based.

Our Explorer Units are:

As well as Unit based activities there are usually District activities once per month to which all Wakefield Explorers are invited.

We also have a Young Leaders Unit who support all our Young People aged 14 to 17 who are volunteering with a younger section.

This Unit also helps you with your Young Leader training and for you working towards your Young Leader Belt.

You dont need to be a member before you start to volunteer with a younger section but you will need to join the

Young Leaders Unit when you start volunteer.
